Rotary Batch Mixers

The Rotary Batch Mixer utilizes a proprietary four-way mixing action that gently tumbles, turns, cuts, and folds bulk materials to produce highly uniform blends in just 1 to 3 minutes. The constant motion during loading, blending, and discharging prevents any material segregation. Because the drum rotates on external trunnion rings, it eliminates the need for internal shafts or seals that contact the material. Click for Details…

Capacities: 5 to 600 cubic feet. Operates efficiently at fill volumes from 100% down to 5%. Operates efficiently from 100% down to 5% of capacity.

Ribbon, Paddle, and Plow Blenders

These heavy-duty horizontal blenders feature a stationary U-shaped vessel and a central flanged shaft supporting ribbon, paddle, or plow agitators. They force agitators through stationary material, making them incredibly effective for blending dry solids with other solids, or with liquids to produce pastes and slurries in 5 to 10 minutes. Ribbon Blenders, Paddle

Vee Cone Blenders

Comprised of two inclined cylinders, the Vee Cone Blender relies on gravity to cause materials to fall, converge, and divide. This gentle tumbling action achieves uniform blends in 5 to 15 minutes while consuming significantly less power than agitated machines. They feature smooth internal surfaces with no baffles for 100% complete discharge and rapid sanitizing.

Capacities: 0.25 to 200 cubic feet. Optional liquid dispersion intensifier bars can be added to reduce soft agglomerates or distribute liquids.

Vee Cone Blender

Fluidized Bed Mixers

Engineered for speed, these mixers use twin, counter-rotating shafts with paddles to sweep low- to medium-density bulk materials upward  into a fluidized, airborne zone. They achieve highly uniform blends in 10 seconds to two minutes with insignificant heat generation and zero degradation of fragile particles.

Capacities: 0.21 to 280 cubic feet. They discharge rapidly through full-length, pneumatically actuated drop-bottom gates.

Rotary Continuous Mixers

For long product runs, these mixers blend primary bulk ingredients and minor additives gently, rapidly, and dust-free. They feature fixed internal mixing flights within a rotating drum and stationary inlet/outlet ports. Typical residence times are just one to two minutes, making them ideal for high-volume mixing and liquid coating applications.

Rotary Continuous Mixer

Variable-Intensity Continuous Blenders

Based on a horizontal cylindrical vessel with an infinitely adjustable single agitator, this blender provides versatile continuous mixing. It can operate at low speeds for gentle homogenizing and coating, or at high speeds for high-shear mixing and lump-breaking of dry materials, dense pastes, and slurries. High throughput is achieved with typical residence times of 20 to 30 seconds.

3. Size Reduction Equipment

Attrition Mills

Ideally suited for grinding fibrous and friable materials from coarse sizes down to 100 mesh. Material travels radially between a stationary disc and a rotating runner disc. The gap between these discs is adjustable via a hand wheel, providing extremely precise control over the final particle size.

Designed to smash heavy volumes of friable and fibrous materials, these industrial-duty mills utilize hardened steel hammers rotating at speeds up to 270 MPH. Centrifugal force causes the pivoting hammers to strike material in mid-air and crush it against breaker plates until particles pass through a lower bed screen.

Centrifugal Impact Mills (Pin Mills)

Pin Mills pulverize friable materials into tight size ranges down to fine 400 mesh powders without using screens, hammers, or knives. Material travels from the center to the periphery between an outer stationary disc and an inner rotating disc, where centrifugal force causes particles to alternately impact alternating rows of pins thousands of times.

Combining the shear of a knife cutter with the impact of a hammer mill, the SCC reduces hard, semi-hard, and fibrous materials down to 20 mesh. 4. Separation Equipment

Rotating Drum Screens

Engineered for high-capacity liquid/solid separation, this machine efficiently removes solids from industrial and municipal wastewater or recovers solid product from process streams at rates up to 4,650 gallons per minute. It utilizes a horizontal wedgewire screen cylinder. Because the rotating drum is the only moving part, it prevents blinding and clogging while keeping maintenance costs low.

Designed for high-throughput solid/solid separation, this sifter can scalp, sift, and de-agglomerate dry materials quietly and without vibration. Material is fed into a stationary horizontal screen cylinder while rotating internal paddles reliably propel on-size particles through the screen apertures, ejecting oversize materials out the discharge port.
